Broccoli is clearly on the collective Internet brain these days!
OR could just be a brilliant marketing campaign from The Broccoli People.
(But I tend to see everything as a marketing campaign - I am THAT committed to my work.)
Personally, I always thought it was weird that kids should automatically hate broccoli.
First of of all, let's face it, Broccoli is damn cute. It looks like little smurf tree!
And all it takes is a light steaming and a little salted butter to make Broccoli totally edible.
Not to mention it goes well with melted cheese, or some of that tahini sauce we used to go nutz on when I was vegan.
Some people even eat it RAW without any hesitation! in public!
I have seen the B pop up on Icanhazcheezburger, Buzzfeed, W00t, Cute Overload in recent months, even NYMag gave Broccoli some love!
Here's a few highlights of the Broco-love-fest that seems to be spreading.
And a search on Cafe Press brings up a lot of fun designs, the majority of which are strongly PRO Broccoli.
Broccoli is also very musical and not necessarily in the way that beans are (I know, that fruit/toot saying can apply to our friend the broccoli but this is different):
This week Not Eating Out in NY posted a nice Broccoli + Bacon idea which is sure to tempt even the most reluctant Broccoli eater.
I have been doing a little online shopping with the notion of supporting the economy by supporting individuals and their creative commerce endeavors. I am not too big on holiday required gift giving but I decided to squirrel a little dough away this year to buy a few gifts from friends/family and other artists.
