So far, so good. Both the little tykes are eating now, we've finally found something that seems to work for them. They're both using the tray, though still need gentle reminders from time to time. They are stalking each other like crazy, which is fun to watch. We spent over £100 in the pet shop yesterday, and bought them a nice large scratching post which, so far, they have completely ignored. I'm hoping that they eventually warm to it!
11pm on a Sunday night, so that's clearly party time for the twats upstairs. What with them and the people next door... they are absolutely driving us to distraction. If it's coming from upstairs, and I think it is as they like to listen to awful dance music, then that means there won't be a bedroom where I can get any rest. At least when it's the twats next door I can take the spare room. Just have to pray they stop by midnight, because I'm back at work tomorrow and I'm on lates. I'll already be cranky, don't really need their help.
Anyhoo, have put a little bit of Alfie and Georgie in action up on You Tube - here they are! Excuse the wierd footage at the end - I haven't worked out how to edit yet. It's a left over from a ghost walk I did on the Isle of Wight. :)
We were going to wait a week or so before taking the kittehs to the vet, however they are now going on Monday. We were suspicious of their age - we were told when they were born, the exact day actually, and had worked out when they would have been 8 weeks old. So it was a surprise when Mum called on Friday to say that she had to collect them or they would be thrown out or given to the first people to take them. They told mum that the kittens were 7 1/2 weeks. Ah, na. They are tiny, teeny tiny little things, and they are constantly crying for mummy. They are not using their litter box, and the little one, Alfie, is not eating (though both are drinking). Georgie has thrown his dinner up today. I've just had a look at two vids on You Tube, one of 5 week old kittens (going from their date of birth they are 5 and a half weeks old) and one of 7 week old kittens. Mine are clearly closer to 5 weeks. I don't mind, if the guy had to get rid of them, thats cool, but don't lie about it! Just tell me, I would have taken them straight round to the vets yesterday. Sigh. I just wish I could find a way of getting them to eat. Going to try some of their dry food mixed with kitten milk and warmed slightly, I've read that alot online. Fingers crossed it works!
UPDATE: Alfie has eaten! YAY! And Georgie has had a wee in his litter box. I is a happy mummy. :)
Anyway, here's some more piccies, taken today.
Ok, what do you prefer - Georgie and Alfie or Jasper and Indiana? Or Jake and Elwood? These kids need names people! Help me! :-D
I have seen our babies - and they are both ginger and white, just like our little Prince. :) I am having nightmares coming up with names. Naming Rory was so quick and instinctive, I knew straight away what I wanted to call him, but this is tougher for some reason. One name keeps coming back to me- Alfie. I have absolutely no idea why. Actually, the first two names that popped into my head were Alfie and George, but I know Mark isn't too keen. I've been trying to make a list tonight and so far I have:
Archie
Alfie
Ace - but of course
Apollo and Starbuck -HAHAHA!
Bosco and HM - One for the A Team fans ;)
Harry
Foozle - can't imagine where that came from...
Bailey - I like this, but Blaze Bailey keeps coming to mind, and that I don't like.
Stewie
Sam and Al - Got to love all the TV references
Dude - Ok, ok, I wouldn't seriously use this one, but you have to admit, The Big Lebowski is an ossum moofie.
Jake and Elwood - I do quite like this
George
Han and Chewie
Lister and Rimmer or Dave and Arnie (Hey, I could just call one of them Cat and be done with it!)
So that is my pathetic list of names as it stand right now. I want ma kittehs!
Despite having very little sleep, we got up at the crack of dawn (erm, ok, 8.30am) to get online for the Foos Presale, for Wembley Stadium. And you know what? WE GOT TICKETS! Woot! Probably not all that surprising, to be honest, I don't think the thing is going to sell out that quickly, but still, I live safely in the knowledge that I will be seeing them next year. It's level 2, which is apparently a premium seat; I noticed Level 1 was not available, so I'm wondering when they will be flogging those off. I can only hope that Level 2 is a steeper rake than Level 1, and therefore better for me and my little short legs.
Just got back from the gym, where I had my 6 week review with my personal trainer. I have lost weight! (Only 4lbs, but I don't care man!) I have lost inches from my waist and hips and I have lost body fat, as indicated by the fancy doo hickey she hooked me up to me. Woo! I was about 51% fat, now I'm 48%. Ok, if I was a microwave meal I'd still be pretty bad for you, but hey! it's an improvement. She's stepped my programme up too, and I am now jogging! No, seriously, I am. Only for 30 seconds at a time, mind you, but I haven't jogged for anything other than a bus for about 20 years so I'm bloody impressed with myself.
Ok, ok, maybe a teeny exageration. It wasn't quite as good as last night; the seats were what I would usually have called brilliant, but you know, I got spoiled last night. The set list was good, they played My Poor Brain finally, after the poor bastards at the front spent the entire tour pestering them into it. We got The Dead Kennedys Holiday in Cambodia, too, another treat.
Perhaps it was because last night was sheer perfection for me, tonight just couldn't live up to that. It's like A Night At The Opera and A Day At The Races. How do you top ANATO? You can't, so you sidestep and make something good in it's own right, ADATR. Saturday was my ANATO gig moment. It will never be topped. Unless I actually get on the stage next time, it will never ever be topped.
Thank you Foos, you were magnificent. See you next year!
Ringtones: What's yours and how often do you change it?

I have four:
I Wanna Rock by Twisted Sister - This is the ring tone for Mark. Yep, he is in a group of one. :)
Kyles Mom's a Bitch - This is for my closest buddies. Why it has to be this particular song, I don't know. Maybe I should look into changing that.
The A Team theme music - this is for my work buddies.
Guitar solo from Love Gun by Kiss - this is my general ring tone, for someone not in the above groups. :)
I haven't changed any of these in months, but I think I'll maybe put something Fooish on for my buddies. Or I could be really hokey and have You're My Best Friend by Queen. HA! Hmmm...
Saw the Foo Fighters tonight; best gig I have EVER seen, and I'm doing it all again tomorrow! They just get better every single time I see them, played loads of old stuff which is always great to hear (you would have loved it Andy, all the real heavy shit!) and as if that wasn't enough Brian May and Roger Taylor came on stage and played '39 from Queen's A Night At The Opera album. I'm not ashamed to admit that I actually started to cry at this point. You have to understand that I have been a Queen fan for 21 years (FUCK! That long?!) and have never seen them play live. Not only did I get to see half of them, but they played a song they rarely ever played, and a beautiful song at that. It was magical, totally magical. The seats we had were frankly unbelievable - I have never had such amazing seating for any band I've seen, we couldn't have been much closer to the stage, and you could see every expression on the bands face. It was wonderful. And there was no one in front if us - we were front row!
How will they top this? I'll find out tomorrow.
Oh - the o2 is an amazing venue, great sound, great views. Alas, getting home was a nightmare. We saw the ridiculously long queues for the tube and then decided to get the ferry. Waited nearly an hour in the freezing cold, and then couldn't get a nightbus. Ended up forking out 20 quid for a cab. Oh well. Nothing could spoil this night. :)
